NOTE

Sarah, a Carrier & Farmer, was born c 1817 at Hawkinge, Kent. Edward died in infancy.

Ann may have married Henry Tomlin & lived at Elham, Kent (1871). I say 'may' as it could have been this Anne Hopkins. They were born born around the same time so I'm not sure.

The family was living at Hill St., Elmsted, Kent (1851). In 1861, the family are at the same address with their children, James, Sarah & Keziah. Sarag, now a widow, is still living at the same address in 1871 with James & Keziah. Also present was, James Hopkins, brother, 74, Labourer, Elmsted. He must have been Stephen's brother. Just a few doors away was their son Thomas & his family.
