Recorded on board the vessel 'Foudroyant' at Hamoaze, Devon in the 1871 census & later on board 'Cambridge' in Devon in 1881. William, now a Chief Petty Officer is recorded on the vessel 'Ajax' in Brompton, Kent in 1891. I couldn't find the rest of the family ?

The 1901 census records the family living at Prince of Wales Inn, Old Town St., East Dawlish, Devon. Also present is Bessie's mother, Mary Thomas.
