NOTE

Elizabeth, a Comb Maker, was born c 1863 at Old Machar, Aberdeen. Her parents were Hugh Rose & Ann Ogilvie.

William was recorded as a boarder with his brother, Alexr. at 84 Shiprow Brebner Ct., Aberdeen St Nicholas in the 1881 census.

The family emmigrated to United States & this Passenger List shows that Elizabeth & their first 2 children left Port of Liverpool in July 1889 on the 'Alaska' & arrived at the Port of New York on the 16th.

I assume that William went there sometime earlier but I couldn't find him on any passenger list.

The family are found living at Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York in the 1900 & 1910 census'. The latter also records a sister-in-law, Ann Reid.

The 1920 census records William & Elizabeth at Queens Assembly District 1, Queens, New York with dau., Elizabeth.

William, now a widow, was living with his son, Charles & his family at Queens in 1930.
