Elizabeth was born c 1842 at Marnoch, Banff. & died in 1897. Her parents were William Tough & Jessie Anderson.

The 1871 census records Elizabeth & her children living at Yonder Bognie, Forgue, Aberdeen. Not sure where William was. Later, the family are living at House On Cairnhill, Marnoch, Banff. in 1881.

William & son Peter are recorded at Woodhead, Inverkeithny, Banff. in 1891 & Elizabeth is recorded at Little Greenfold, Rothiemay, Banff. with Grandchildren, William McDonald & Isabella Mitchell. Also present was her mother.
